MYTHIC RIFT AUTHENTICITY GUARANTEE

At Mythic Rift, authenticity is fundamental to our business. Customers should be able to purchase trading cards and collectibles with confidence that the products they receive are genuine and accurately represented.
1. OUR GUARANTEE
1.1 Mythic Rift guarantees that all products sold by us are believed by us, following reasonable checks appropriate to the product, to be genuine and authentic.
1.2 Mythic Rift does not knowingly buy, advertise or sell counterfeit trading cards, counterfeit sealed products, counterfeit graded cards or counterfeit accessories.
1.3 If we become aware of reasonable concerns regarding the authenticity of any product before dispatch, that product will not knowingly be supplied to a customer until those concerns have been satisfactorily resolved.
1.4 Nothing in this Authenticity Guarantee limits or excludes any statutory rights available to customers under applicable UK consumer law.
2. SEALED TRADING CARD PRODUCTS
2.1 We aim to source sealed trading card products from reputable distributors, wholesalers, established retailers and other suppliers that we reasonably believe to be legitimate.
2.2 Where possible, priority will be given to established trade and distribution channels.
2.3 We may also obtain genuine products through reputable secondary-market sources where appropriate.
2.4 Where products are obtained outside our normal distribution channels, we may carry out additional checks appropriate to the nature and value of the product before offering it for sale.
2.5 These checks may include examination of packaging, factory seals, printing quality, product codes, labels, construction and other characteristics commonly associated with genuine products.
2.6 The use of a secondary-market supplier does not itself mean that a product is unauthorised or counterfeit.
3. INDIVIDUAL TRADING CARDS
3.1 Individual trading cards may be acquired from distributors, collections, private sellers, established retailers, professional dealers, marketplaces or other secondary-market sources.
3.2 Before listing individual cards for sale, Mythic Rift will take reasonable steps appropriate to the card and its value to assess its authenticity.
3.3 Such assessment may include examination of card dimensions, printing characteristics, colours, fonts, texture, holographic or foil characteristics, card stock, set information and other relevant identifying features.
3.4 Higher-value cards may receive additional scrutiny before being offered for sale.
3.5 Where we have unresolved doubts about the authenticity of an individual card, we will not knowingly offer that card for sale as genuine.
4. GRADED CARDS
4.1 Where Mythic Rift sells a card graded by a professional grading company, we will clearly identify the grading company and grade where applicable.
4.2 Where available, the certification number will be provided or visible so that customers may independently verify the card using the grading company's official verification service.
4.3 We may independently check certification information before acquiring or listing graded cards.
4.4 We may also inspect the grading holder, label, certification information and other identifying characteristics for signs of tampering or inconsistency.
4.5 The grade assigned to a card is the opinion of the relevant grading company and is not assigned or independently guaranteed by Mythic Rift.
4.6 Mythic Rift's authenticity guarantee relates to the authenticity of the product sold and does not constitute a guarantee regarding the accuracy of a third-party grading company's grade.
5. PRODUCT DESCRIPTIONS
5.1 We will make reasonable efforts to identify products accurately.
5.2 Product information may include the relevant trading card game, set, card number, language, edition, rarity, product type, condition, grading company and certification information where appropriate.
5.3 Where photographs are stated to show the actual individual card or graded card being sold, those photographs form part of the product description.
5.4 Customers purchasing individual or graded cards are encouraged to review all available photographs and information before completing their purchase.
5.5 Genuine manufacturing variations or imperfections do not by themselves mean that a product is counterfeit.
6. THIRD-PARTY BRANDS
6.1 Products sold by Mythic Rift may feature trademarks, characters, artwork and other intellectual property belonging to third-party publishers and rights holders.
6.2 Ownership of those intellectual property rights remains with the relevant rights holders.
6.3 Unless expressly stated otherwise, Mythic Rift is an independent retailer and is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by the publishers, manufacturers, grading companies or other rights holders whose products we sell.
6.4 References to third-party brands are used to identify genuine products offered for sale.
7. AUTHENTICITY CONCERNS
7.1 If you believe that a product purchased from Mythic Rift may not be authentic, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible at [info@mythicrift.co.uk].
7.2 Please provide your order number together with details explaining your concern.
7.3 We may ask you to provide clear photographs of the product, packaging, certification number, seals or other relevant features.
7.4 We may ask for the product to be returned to us so that it can be physically examined.
7.5 Customers should not destroy, alter, open, crack, modify or dispose of a product while an authenticity investigation is taking place unless instructed by us.
7.6 Where appropriate, we may seek information or assistance from the manufacturer, distributor, grading company or another suitably knowledgeable third party.
8. IF A PRODUCT IS FOUND NOT TO BE AUTHENTIC
8.1 If a product supplied by Mythic Rift is established to be counterfeit or otherwise materially not as described, we will treat the matter seriously.
8.2 Where applicable, the customer will be entitled to the remedies available under UK consumer law.
8.3 Where a refund is appropriate, we will refund the amount legally due using the original payment method unless another method is agreed.
8.4 Where appropriate, we may also reimburse reasonable return costs associated with returning the affected product to us.
8.5 Mythic Rift may investigate the source from which the affected product was obtained and cease dealing with that source where appropriate.
8.6 We may report suspected counterfeit products or suppliers to the relevant marketplace, distributor, rights holder or competent authority where appropriate.
9. PRODUCT SUBSTITUTION AND RETURN FRAUD
9.1 To protect both Mythic Rift and genuine customers, we may record identifying information relating to valuable products before dispatch.
9.2 Such information may include detailed photographs, card characteristics, certification numbers, grading holders, packaging, seals and other product identifiers.
9.3 Products returned following an authenticity concern may be compared with our dispatch records to confirm that the product returned is the product originally supplied.
9.4 We reserve the right to investigate suspected substitution, tampering or fraudulent returns.
9.5 Nothing in this section limits any statutory rights of genuine customers.
10. MARKET VALUE
10.1 Our Authenticity Guarantee does not guarantee the present or future financial value of any trading card or collectible.
10.2 Trading card and collectible prices can rise or fall significantly.
10.3 Authenticity, condition and grade are separate from future market value.
10.4 Mythic Rift does not provide investment advice and does not guarantee that any product will maintain or increase its value.
11. OUR COMMITMENT
11.1 Trust is particularly important within the trading card and collectibles market.
11.2 Mythic Rift is committed to maintaining reasonable sourcing and verification procedures designed to minimise the risk of counterfeit products entering our inventory.
11.3 Where we identify a genuine authenticity concern, we will investigate it rather than knowingly passing that risk to a customer.
11.4 Our aim is that customers can purchase from Mythic Rift knowing that authenticity, transparency and product integrity are treated seriously.
