MYTHIC RIFT RETURNS & REFUNDS POLICY

Last updated: [12 August 2026]

This Returns & Refunds Policy applies to products purchased through the Mythic Rift website. Nothing in this Policy limits or excludes any statutory rights that you have under applicable UK consumer law.

1. ABOUT THIS POLICY

1.1 Mythic Rift sells trading cards, sealed trading card products, graded cards, accessories and other collectible products.

1.2 The condition of collectible products and their packaging can materially affect their market and resale value.

1.3 Customers must therefore take particular care when handling any product that they may wish to return.

1.4 This Policy explains your rights to cancel an online purchase, the conditions applicable to returns, how diminished value will be assessed and how faulty, damaged or incorrectly supplied products will be handled.

2. CHANGE-OF-MIND CANCELLATIONS

2.1 Where you purchase an eligible product from us online as a consumer, you will normally have the statutory right to cancel the purchase within 14 days after receiving the product.

2.2 Where an order contains multiple products delivered separately, the statutory cancellation period may run from the date on which the final relevant product is received in accordance with applicable law.

2.3 To exercise your right to cancel, you must notify Mythic Rift clearly within the applicable cancellation period.

2.4 You may notify us by email at [refunds@mythicrift.co.uk].

2.5 You do not need to provide a reason for exercising a statutory cancellation right.

2.6 After notifying us that you wish to cancel, you must normally return the relevant product to us within 14 days.

3. CONDITION OF RETURNED PRODUCTS

3.1 You are responsible for taking reasonable care of any product that you intend to return.

3.2 You may inspect a product only to the extent reasonably necessary to establish its nature, characteristics and functioning.

3.3 You must not handle a product in a way that would go beyond what could reasonably be permitted when examining the same type of product in a physical retail shop.

3.4 Where your handling of a product has reduced its value, Mythic Rift may make a deduction from your refund that reflects the reduction in value, to the extent permitted by law.

3.5 For collectible products, even apparently minor damage may cause a significant reduction in market value.

3.6 Diminished value may therefore be greater than the apparent physical extent of the damage where the collectible market places a premium on pristine condition.

4. SEALED TRADING CARD PRODUCTS

4.1 Sealed trading card products may include booster boxes, Elite Trainer Boxes, tins, collection boxes, starter decks, booster packs and other factory-sealed products.

4.2 Factory seals, shrink wrap, tamper seals, cardboard tabs, display packaging and other original packaging may form part of the collectible value of the product.

4.3 You should not remove, cut, tear, break or otherwise interfere with factory seals if you may wish to return the product.

4.4 You should not open booster packs, booster boxes, tins, decks, collection boxes or any other sealed trading card product if you may wish to return it.

4.5 Opening or interfering with a sealed collectible product may materially reduce its value.

4.6 Where a sealed product is returned after its packaging, seal or presentation has been altered or damaged through handling beyond what was reasonably necessary, we may reduce the refund to reflect the resulting loss in value where permitted by law.

4.7 Where opening the product means that it can no longer reasonably be sold as new, unopened collectible stock, the reduction in value may be substantial.

4.8 Nothing in this section affects your statutory rights where the product was faulty, damaged when supplied or materially not as described.

5. INDIVIDUAL TRADING CARDS

5.1 Individual trading cards are particularly sensitive to handling and condition.

5.2 A card's value may be materially affected by scratches, dents, creases, bends, whitening, edge wear, corner damage, fingerprints, surface marks, moisture, staining or other physical alteration.

5.3 Where an individual card is supplied in a protective sleeve, semi-rigid holder, top loader, magnetic holder or other protective packaging, you should leave the card protected where reasonably possible if you intend to return it.

5.4 You must not clean, polish, flatten, repair, alter, trim or otherwise attempt to improve or modify a card.

5.5 You must not submit a card for grading or authentication before attempting to return it.

5.6 Where the condition of a returned card differs from its condition when dispatched, we may reduce the refund to reflect any resulting diminution in value where permitted by law.

5.7 We may compare a returned card against photographs, condition records, certification information or other records created before dispatch.

6. GRADED CARDS

6.1 Professionally graded cards are sold together with their grading holder, label and certification details.

6.2 The grading holder forms an important part of the collectible product.

6.3 You must not open, crack, alter, tamper with, relabel or attempt to remove a graded card from its holder if you intend to return it.

6.4 You must take reasonable care to avoid scratches, cracks, chips or other damage to the grading holder.

6.5 Where a grading holder is returned in a materially worse condition than when it was supplied, we may make an appropriate deduction from the refund where permitted by law.

6.6 Where the grading holder has been opened, altered or tampered with, this may cause a substantial reduction in the value of the product.

6.7 We may verify certification numbers and compare the returned graded card with photographs and records retained at the time of dispatch.

7. ACCESSORIES

7.1 Accessories may include card sleeves, binders, deck boxes, storage products, playmats, top loaders, magnetic holders and related products.

7.2 Where possible, accessories should be returned unused and with their original packaging intact.

7.3 Packaging may be opened only to the extent reasonably necessary to inspect the product.

7.4 Where an accessory has been used, marked, damaged or handled beyond what was reasonably necessary to inspect it, we may reduce the refund to reflect any diminution in value where permitted by law.

8. RETURN PACKAGING

8.1 Returned products must be packaged carefully and securely.

8.2 Trading cards should be protected against bending, scratching, moisture and movement during transit.

8.3 Graded cards should be appropriately cushioned to protect the slab and card.

8.4 Sealed products must be packaged so that their retail packaging is not used as the external shipping container.

8.5 You should not attach postage labels, tape or writing directly to collectible retail packaging.

8.6 Where a return is damaged because it was inadequately packaged by you, any resulting reduction in value may be taken into account when calculating the refund where permitted by law.

9. RETURN POSTAGE FOR CHANGE-OF-MIND RETURNS

9.1 Unless otherwise stated, you are responsible for the direct cost of returning a product where you are cancelling because you have changed your mind.

9.2 We strongly recommend using an appropriate tracked and insured service.

9.3 Until the returned product reaches us, you remain responsible for taking reasonable care of it.

9.4 For high-value cards or collectibles, you should use a postal or courier service with insurance sufficient to cover the product's value.

10. REFUNDS FOR CHANGE-OF-MIND RETURNS

10.1 Once an eligible returned product has been received, we will inspect its condition.

10.2 Where the product has not been handled beyond what is reasonably necessary, the appropriate refund will be processed in accordance with applicable consumer law.

10.3 Where the product has diminished in value because of excessive handling, damage or alteration for which you are responsible, we may deduct an amount proportionate to the reduction in value.

10.4 Where permitted by law, the deduction may reflect the difference between the value of the product as originally supplied and its reasonable value following the customer's handling.

10.5 Collectible market value may be taken into consideration where condition directly affects the ability to resell the product in its original category or condition.

10.6 Refunds will normally be made using the same payment method used for the original transaction.

10.7 We may withhold a refund until we have received the returned goods or you have provided evidence that the goods have been sent back, as permitted by law.

10.8 Refunds will be made within the timescale required by applicable consumer law.

11. ORIGINAL DELIVERY COSTS

11.1 Where you validly cancel an eligible online purchase under your statutory cancellation rights, we will refund the amount required by applicable law in respect of the original standard delivery charge.

11.2 If you selected a delivery service more expensive than our least expensive standard delivery method, we are not required to refund the additional cost of that premium delivery option.

12. FAULTY PRODUCTS

12.1 Your statutory rights are different where a product is faulty, damaged when supplied, incorrectly supplied or not as described.

12.2 Nothing in this Policy limits your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

12.3 Consumers generally have a short-term right to reject faulty goods within 30 days of receiving them where the statutory conditions are met.

12.4 Additional rights to repair, replacement, price reduction or refund may apply after the initial 30-day period depending on the circumstances.

12.5 If you believe that a product is faulty, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible.

13. DAMAGE ON DELIVERY

13.1 You should inspect your order promptly after delivery.

13.2 If a parcel or product appears damaged on arrival, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible.

13.3 We may ask you to provide photographs of the external shipping packaging, internal packaging, shipping label and damaged product.

13.4 These photographs help us investigate the damage and raise any appropriate claim with the delivery company.

13.5 You should retain all packaging until we confirm that it is no longer required.

13.6 Where goods were damaged before they were delivered to you, your statutory rights will not be reduced merely because the product's collectible value has been affected by that damage.

14. INCORRECT PRODUCTS

14.1 If we send you a product different from the product ordered, please contact us promptly.

14.2 We will arrange an appropriate remedy in accordance with your statutory rights.

14.3 You should not open or use an incorrectly supplied sealed collectible product once you have identified that it is incorrect.

15. AUTHENTICITY CONCERNS

15.1 Mythic Rift does not knowingly sell counterfeit products.

15.2 If you reasonably believe that a product purchased from us is counterfeit, please contact us promptly.

15.3 We may request photographs, certification information or other evidence reasonably necessary to investigate the concern.

15.4 You must not destroy, alter or dispose of the product while an authenticity investigation is ongoing unless we agree otherwise.

15.5 If a product is established to be counterfeit or materially not as described, your statutory rights will apply.

16. CONDITION DISPUTES

16.1 We may photograph, record or otherwise document the condition of individual cards, graded cards and high-value collectible products before dispatch.

16.2 These records may include images of the front, back, corners, edges, surfaces, seals, packaging, grading holder and certification number.

16.3 Where a condition dispute arises, we may use these records together with information supplied by you to assess the matter.

16.4 Nothing in this section prevents you from exercising any statutory consumer right.

17. VALUE FLUCTUATIONS

17.1 Trading cards and collectible products may increase or decrease in market value after purchase.

17.2 A change in market value alone does not make a product faulty or not as described.

17.3 Refunds arising from statutory cancellation rights are determined under applicable consumer law and are not calculated according to increases or decreases in market price after purchase.

17.4 Mythic Rift does not guarantee the future financial value, collectibility or resale price of any product.

18. PRE-ORDERS

18.1 Cancellation rights relating to pre-orders will be governed by applicable consumer law and any additional pre-order terms displayed at the time of purchase.

18.2 Where we cancel a pre-order because we cannot obtain sufficient allocation, any amount already paid for the affected product will be refunded.

18.3 A reduction in market value after a customer places a pre-order does not by itself create an additional right to cancel beyond the rights available under applicable law and our stated pre-order terms.

19. SUSPECTED RETURN ABUSE OR FRAUD

19.1 We reserve the right to investigate returns where we reasonably suspect fraud, product substitution, tampering, counterfeit substitution or other abuse.

19.2 High-value products may have identifying information recorded before dispatch.

19.3 Graded cards may be checked against certification numbers and photographs.

19.4 Individual cards may be compared with detailed photographs and identifying characteristics recorded before dispatch.

19.5 Where we reasonably believe that a different product has been returned from the one supplied, we may withhold the voluntary return while the matter is investigated.

19.6 Nothing in this section permits us to withhold a refund that is legally due under applicable consumer law.

19.7 Suspected fraudulent activity may be reported to the relevant payment provider, delivery provider or law-enforcement authority where appropriate.

20. EXCHANGES

20.1 Mythic Rift is not required to offer exchanges for change-of-mind returns unless expressly stated.

20.2 Where you wish to purchase a different product, we may ask you to return the original eligible product for refund and place a new order.

20.3 Where a faulty product is concerned, statutory repair or replacement rights may apply independently of this clause.

21. REFUND TIMESCALES

21.1 Refunds will be processed without undue delay and within the timescales required by applicable consumer law.

21.2 After we issue a refund, your bank or payment provider may require additional time to credit the money to your account.

21.3 Mythic Rift is not responsible for processing times imposed solely by your bank or payment provider after we have issued the refund.

22. HOW TO REQUEST A RETURN

22.1 To request a return, please contact [refunds@mythicrift.co.uk] or use any returns facility made available through our website.

22.2 Please provide your name, order number and sufficient information to identify the product concerned.

22.3 Where the return relates to damage, a defect, an incorrect product or an authenticity concern, please provide a brief description of the issue.

22.4 We may ask for photographs where reasonably necessary to assess the issue.

22.5 You should wait for return instructions before sending high-value collectible products back to us.

23. RETURN ADDRESS

23.1 Products must only be returned to the return address provided by Mythic Rift after a return request has been submitted.

23.2 The appropriate return address and return instructions will be provided to the customer when the return is acknowledged.

23.3 Customers must not send products to Mythic Rift's registered office unless specifically instructed to do so.

24. YOUR STATUTORY RIGHTS

24.1 This Returns & Refunds Policy is intended to operate alongside your statutory rights and not replace them.

24.2 Nothing in this Policy excludes or restricts any right or remedy that cannot legally be excluded or restricted.

24.3 Where any provision of this Policy conflicts with a mandatory consumer right, the mandatory consumer right will take precedence.

25. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

25.1 We may update this Returns & Refunds Policy from time to time.

25.2 The latest version will be published on the Mythic Rift website.

25.3 The version applying to a purchase will normally be the version in force when the relevant order was placed, subject to any mandatory legal requirements.
